Nothing will bring Freddie back, BUT what about naming and shaming the dog's owner.Why can't the RSPCA be involved?One of the kind people who went to help got bitten, was this by poor Freddie or the dog? If it was the dog, then an offence has been committed.  Surely a case could be brought against the irresponsible owner, i.e., not being in control of her dog, which then attacked a seal. Name and shame and hopefully a charge can be brought against the owner.

Yes, have read the papers, so sorry I was a bit premature.  BUT the owner should still be prosecuted for having a potentially dangerous dog off lead and out of control.

If anybody else had the dog that caused the damage to Freddie, all hell would have broken out. Just because she is a QC and lives in a five and a half million pound house she goes scott free. Perhaps a large donation to the RSPCA would be accepted.

"Rebecca Sabben-Clare QC, 49, said today she spoke with police yesterday morning after Sunday's attack and was referred to the RSPCA, who told her no animal welfare offence had occurred."  The RSPCA will only investigate cruelty to animals and say this is a police matter. The police appear not to be interested in taking it further.  I think we probably know why.
