Sue. I didn't think Corbyn wouldn't change anything, just that changes would be moderated by a more balanced Parliament. The current NHS model seems to be to outsource certain parts of its operations. How well that works depends on how and why it's done. I think GPs have always had a lot of autonomy so being owned by a US company may not materially change much provided, say, patient lists are still part of the overall NHS control. After all, opticians, pharmacies, dentists, etc are privately run within the NHS structure. It's an area where vigilance is needed as some on the right of the Tory party would like more privatisation, or an insurance scheme that might disadvantage some. No, I didn't think you'd want a privatised health service - a slightly facetious comment - but was just noting there could be unintended consequences in just following a Brexit path ...
