Ed, but I guess that's a step forward from the days when 100% of the cabinet, if not all of the Commoners and Lords, were privately educated?Interesting in that working in the new industry of IT in the 70s and 80s privately educated people seemed in the minority - or kept quiet about it, except for some business owners. Moving into financial services in a technology support role in the mid 90s was a bit like entering a world from the 19th century in some areas, or, as a colleague once said, the set of upstairs, downstairs ... although, as I said previously, things have now moved on.
