Yes, we should celebrate the great music he produced that brought joy to many but also recognise he was a deeply disturbed and flawed individual who hurt and damaged others, in particular Lana Clarkson and her family.

Actually Richard, if you listened to the show, I did include "murderer". I was also careful not to pay tribute to Spector himself. However his influence on popular music was wide, as can be shown by the songs that were influenced by him such as Born to Run, Bat Out of Hell and See My Baby Jive to name but 3.

Hi Mark,Thanks for that, I'm tuned in and enjoying the Spector Sounds. I saw Leader of the Pack a few years ago about the life of Ellie Greenwich which was full of Spector music. Great stuff.
