How sad another dog has attacked a deer. On the front page of Forum. With a very sad video.

I suspect the deer hit the car rather than the other way round. Had it hit a cyclist they might both had to be put down.

This is sad, even sadder that the final blow was the young deer being hit by a car while trying to escapeYet another reason they need to reduce the amount of cars driving inside the parkWith lockdown it’s got worse, not betterAnd a £600 fine is ridiculous, that’s probably less than what was paid for the dog

I see dogs out of control every time I am in the park, I probably go about two to three times a week, usually it'll be much the same response from the owners as that hilarious 'Fenton!' video that went viral.Dog gets let off lead to roam freely, maybe even running up to some other people and all sorts stuff like that with the owner not caring at all. If they start chasing deer you'll hear constant shouts of the dog's name presumably for the benefit of other people in the park because the dogs won't come back until they've chased the deer for a satisfactory amount of time.Very glad this recent owner was fined. People should just keep them on leads in the park.

Richard, I did realize you are a bit Kinky, I dare not think too deeply about leads round people necks. Perhaps children, dogs and people. Very strange way of thinking.

Never mind dogs, personally I'd like to see dog owners only allowed into the park when on a lead.

Community service would have been quite a good outcome - plenty of litter to pick, unfortunately. And dog poo.

It's very sad to see this, like Sue I didn't want to watch the video. Its not as though there aren't enough signs warning dog owners, is it? Personally, I'd have thought a more fitting punishment would be community service: there must be lots of jobs in the Park, starting with picking up litter from the current hordes of visitors?

I heard about this on the radio this morning.  Apparently it was a young doe that the dog attacked and she was so badly wounded she had to be put down. 😿 These f*****g stupid owners who let their dogs off the lead and endanger wild life should not be fined, they should receive a prison sentence.  I couldn't bring myself to watch the video it would upset me too much.

Message to dog owners - keep your dog under control!  They all have a hunting instinct, it's not been bred out of even the tiniest lap dog but you only find out if and when it's triggered.What a sad end to a lovely wild creature.
