Rowena Allin Khan aplolgises

For tweeting that Tory minister Nadhim Zahawi had jumped the queue and been vaccinated ahead of millions of others. She was reprimanded by the party and forced to withdraw the untruth So we can rely on anything she has previously tweeted eh?? Cue tales of trips to Barnard castle in her defence , lol 😁😁

"admitted the mistake"She admitted that it was a mistake. You need to read the DM very carefully:DM Headline: "suggesting". DM Subheadline: "for fuelling false claim"As mentioned the tweet said it was a rumour and asked for confirmation. So the DM descriptions could be applied IMO.Was the tweet wrong? Yes IMO. Right thing to apologize and delete.Is the same as "the" mistake?

Assange has not been released.  His extradition to US has been refused.Looking at the news on tv the celebrations outside the court its yet another super spreader event.

Not the best worded tweet.It did say it was a rumour and was asking for confirmation.So quite right that it should have been withdrawn and an apology issued.Just shows how far things have fallen on both sides of the house.Let's hope there is more truth and transparency going forward for the sake of our democracy.Especially today when a journalist has finally released from a UK prison having IMO being held on political charges for the crime of exposing the truth!When Peter Hitchens and George Gallaway agree something has to be wrong.Of course the Guardian which has largely been silent doesn't come out very well IMO!

David as she has admitted the mistake surely you are not suggesting the mails report is wrong or untruthful.Or are you saying that as you allege the mail lies from time to time it's ok for this MP to do so?

the reason i mentioned Barnard Castle was because when others make mistakes (intentionally or in error) someone on here always trots out the Barnard Castle incident as a comparison in defence of the latest miscreant -if , of course it fits the narrative.Interesting though how forgiving one can be of someone you support as against anyone in Govt who may make an error. It was only last week that her posting on Twitter on another subject was being quoted as fact on here... maybe that too needs to be treated with some caution.

She seems to have quickly apologised correcting her error. The only reason I can see for comparisons with the Barnard Castle incident was that of a drawn out rambling incident and story that's strains credibility rather than a quick admission and apology before losing credibility?

Not sure why it would be necessary to refer back to Dominic Cumming's trip to Barnard Castle - don't see the parallel. Her best defence is probably that she made an error due to being tired from working in the frontline of the NHS. She quickly corrected it so I'm not sure why it is worthy of comment.Personally I think it is preposterous that the minister in charge of ensuring the vaccine isn't given it straightaway. If he were to catch Covid it could create more delay for the rollout.
