Ed,Starsky and Hutch?  CHiPs?  Did they encounter similar road closures during their pursuits in the 1970s by any chance?Segways are fine in town centres but are not high speed vehicles.Of course, police do have motorbikes but cannot be used in closed roads. It is an absolute nonsense to make roads inaccessible to emergency services.

I think the Starsky & Hutch policy isn't working possibly due to not having a catchy theme tune but more likely limitations of cars versus mopeds and escooters. Perhaps they need to think more CHiPs.Give the police high powered escooters with ble lights and sirens :)
