Putney Hill

While driving up Putney Hill today noticed you can now drive 90mph, all the speed limit signs have been covered in black dog pooh bags, don't all answer at once.

"Unless the vaccine has had a reaction and turning residents into giants."I misread that and thought "into giant bats"! Of course! And they are roosting on the speed limit signs and obscuring them. They could even be giant vampire bats, and they are awaiting the casualties of the eventual 90mph crashes. Of course, I may be wrong. I am not a chiropterologist, as must be clear.

Barbara - Michael on his double decker bike might be able to reach:)I suspect they have covered them up and will put new 20mph signs up soon. I think it was the last of the improvements to make the High Street and Putney Hill 20mph.For £1m I would find a way to reach :)

Ed, with all the speed limits in Putney rather surprised when we saw them covered. Also coming back down the hill. You would have needed a ladder to cover them. Unless the vaccine has had a reaction and turning residents into giants.

If there is street lighting the Highway Code says the default is 30mph.But I assume this is more about more about the signs being covered. Probably will be going to 20mph. Assuming the bags do not actually have dog poo in them.
