Hello, anybody there?

Who put the lights out? Or is everybody still out in the streets celebrating their liberation from the trammels of the EU? Or are we all supposed to be in a digital communications anti-Covid lockdown but nobody told me? OK, Mr Ixer doesn't appear to know about it either, but he could just be a program running through his photo files, couldn't he? (He could do that).

Well I haven’t got much to say at the moment, so here’s another Putney story from Mail Online:   James Cracknell ran out of fuel 300 metres from a petrol station.  it just says it’s South London, but looks to me like Lower Richmond Rd, near the Erpingham Rd junction.  Must be a really slow news day for this to be newsworthy.   (Previous MailOnline SW15 story was about the Putney pensioners having problems with Scottish Power — on Smart Meter thread)

Yup, been here all the time. I’m a little surprised there has been no comment about WPCC’s Chief Executive Simon Lee’s unexpected early “retirement”. Mind you, John C. and I have been busy self-isolating and enjoying Christmas locked in our homes just like the rest of us, so maybe it’s not a surprise.Happy New Year, to all.Nick

Must admit Sue, these days I don't like it that much not having the grandchildren. I'm glad when it's all over. Let's hope the New Year brings everybody a better time.

Had a really superb Christmas but didn't really like to post that as I'm sure lots of people didn't, and didn't want to upset anyone.  I must admit it was really strange to see no posts though

Ivonne, we always get radio silence over most Sundays, Easter and Bank Holidays. Reason being that subscribers like to make out that they have are having full quality time with their family and couldn't possibly be seen to post.A cynic? Moi?
