Yes. Social distancing does seem to have lapsed. But I think there are a number of factors. The message has got blurred and diluted and along with fatigue of the continuing situation I think people are just getting more casual and careless about it all - I must admit on a several occaisions when queuing I've lapsed; then there are those who just distrust the government and think it's all a ploy so just ignore or react against it - well there's good cause for that but they also seem to be ignorant of science and assessing the facts for themselves; finally, there's people like Sue's friend, the pagan goddess, who are just out of touch (to put in politely). Sadly, it all comes back to poor and inconsistent communications from the government coupled with a superior, non collaborative attitude from ministers (for example dictating rather than discussing solutions with teachers), and what seems to be a great ignorance of science and maths in the general population? That falls into the hands of those with their own agendas, such as Piers Corbyn, David Icyke, etc ...Still, in spite of the great conjuction of Jupiter and Saturn coinciding with the winter solstice the world didn't end, the soothsayers misunderstood that queues of lorries in Kent isn't really the end of the world, just a taste of what Brexit will be ...
