Brexit may only be politics for some but to others it is much much more.  It is division, isolation  and difficulties of families, it is loss of international and multi-lingual careers, jobs and business and I'm sure others can add to that.  People have always moved from country to country.  When you look a little more deeply into families you will find that they are more mixed than you think.  Where did all those Scots go during the clearances?

Sadly it seems that for some Brexit will always be the worst thing to ever happen in their lives.Personally I'd say a worldwide pandemic is just a bit worse than Brexit but then we're all entitled to our opinion.

Do people misunderstand what I mean to say on purpose?  To clarify.  I meant that the importance of covid escalating, far outweighs the importance of politics and I was really upset with the consequences that covid had on people.  Politics is not the be all and end all of my life

It's tedious but I can't see how they can relax measures during the Christmas holiday without a significant spike in cases occuring during January. A case for patience while the vaccine is rolled out? I must admit aside from the tedium I'm not affected too much - just off to another Zoom chat with friends ...

Nice to know the four week national lockdown throughout November was effective!!I still think the majority of people are being amazingly compliant the majority of the time.  I’ve a sneaky feeling  cases will start falling pretty sharpish once schools break up

They're going to have to call off the lowering of restrictions for the 23rd to 27th surely? Germany, Italy and Holland doing strict lockdowns but we're set to mingle more than we have been!
