BT internet cost

I've just paid my 3 month bill £103 (which presumably includes line rental).Don't use landline for incoming/outgoing calls, ever.My broadband service is fine but is £103 too much?Not overly bothered, just wondered.Thanks.

That doesn’t surprise me Sean, apparently we are below Romania in the international broadband speed charts.Another something we can’t blame the EU for!

My wife's small village in Germany now has fibre into every house, with speed up to 1Gb/s (1000Mb/s)

It really depends where you live to what's suppliers and speed you get.Anyone would think we were in the countryside.Fibre still not an option for many in SW15.Countries that have invested in fast broadband for all areas have seen high economic growth.Sadly yet again, none of the main party seems to have a policy on broadband

Simon, at our house in Scotland we moved from BT to EE (which incidentally is owned by BT) and only pay £27 per month. If anything the line has been more stable since we moved across. Really happy with the service provided by EE.

My BT land line and internet  is 29.99 a month plus 14 for footie and 8 for wifes mobile.My wife does the deals with providers and regukarly calls them for a review and often gets a bit off here or there.Give them a call and say you are thinking of switching .

Ours is EE, the plan is Fibre Plus Broadband with unlimited landline.  It was up for renewal at £45.45, Vodafone like for like would have been £32.Rather than switch, I called EE who were very happy to match it, without any haggling.I was also advised that calling was the best way to renew. The download speed is consistently meets or betters the EE plan's Minimum Guaranteed Download Speed of 50.60 Mb/s.  A few months ago we had an issue with our telephone line in the house, which dropped the broadband when the telephone was in use.  It always restored itself, but annoying.  EE sent two engineers, and were super helpful in sorting it out, sucessfully.

It sounds expensive Simon. I have no add-ons and  pay £42 a month with EE. I changed from Plusnet recently.

Are you getting BT Sport with your broadband? If so, it is a bargain. If not, still not bad. My EE monthly bill varies but was £33 last month, so would be £99 for 3 months, and the service is slow at times. BT has reliably fast service from what I've read.
