I am tired

So very very exhausted.The Twitter storm over the Sainsbury's Christmas advert showing a black family together has raised a complete twitter storm. Apparently Christmas should be kept "white" and people have threatened to Boycott Sainsbury's. All this over melanin. Having to constantly justify why we are here is relentless.

It’s depressing that such prehistoric views still exist in 2020.  Twitter used be fun and uplifting, but like so many social networks, it  has become a hot-bed of intolerance and hatred - so best avoided, if you ask me.  Whilst it’s certainly no excuse and of little comfort to those on the receiving end of such intolerance,  I always think that being so full of anger and outrage must be exhausting and make a for a sad, miserable existence.

I am tired of Twitter storms.  Haven't seen the ad and couldn't care less about it to be honest. Mind you I feel that way about all ads, particularly Xmas ones because they are all in competition to entice people to spend more money on too much food and expensive kids' presents. Bah humbug.

Think it’s a lovely Xnasy ad and wouldn’t be too concerned about Twitter storm Sainsburys  getting lots of publicity and more people are supportive than critical. Is it too early to say Have a Merry Xmas? Obviously not as all the commercial Xmas cheer has started.

Looked like a good ad to me. There will always be people who gripe. Just rejoice in the joy you bring to this place and I'm sure  that joy is plentiful. There are many of us who appreciate the diversity and richness of a multi cultural society and remember how dreary it all was when it was otherwise. We live in one world. Let's enjoy that.

Well, Maxine, speaking as someone who is an atheist and hasn't seen the advert (so I'll probably be told I shouldn't comment) this doesn't sound very Christian to me: I thought Christmas was for all christians irrespective of race, colour, etc; and I thought it was unlikely that Jesus was a white anglo saxon given where he was born. I'm saddened to here what you're experiencing.
