Mary Wollstonecraft

had a  link to Putney when she was  rescued  from drowning in the Thames.This is a crowdfunder to have a replacement statue erected elsewhere than the awful Maggi Hambling one in North London. Thanks Lucille. Although I am usually an admirer of Maggi Hambling's work, I really dislike her Mary Wollstonecraft statue. Plenty of room on the Embankment.
