Hi Phillipa, it's worth taking a stroll past it when lit up in the evening as it looks stunning. Each time I've walked along the Embankment in the evening there have been a several people with professional looking camera taking shots. I seem to remember there were lights under it years ago but I dont remember it looking quite as striking. Perhaps the more modern bulbs giving a whiter light.
