Thanks for the update Nick. We were in Wilko today and while some shelves are empty there was plenty of stock and also customers. My Sainsburys Local OTOH had empty shelves where pasta should be!BTW if retailers are having difficulties in getting supplies due to Covid, roll on January 2021 when supplies will be even harder to come by thanks to Brexit.

Thank you for the clarity Nick and inside info about it being a family business.Wilco also have a click and collect service - order on the web and collect from store for £2. I haven't tried it but may give a go.

The reason why I’ve come back is that it concerns me to see messages like this about Wilko’s. Not that anyone has said anything wrong at all. I thought I should clarify as I know them very well.They are having issues with stock/supply due to Covid. This is the exact reason why the shelves are empty in some areas.Wilkos are in Putney for the long term and are an excellent retailer. I am slightly obsessed with them as I love a bargain, plus they are still a family owned retailer. Another of my clients Evans Cycles also had a major issue with stock coming in from overseas recently due to Co Vid, which had a massive impact on sales as they couldn’t get the bikes in from suppliers!!

They may have furloughed staff and are now slowly bringing them back for end of October
