Deliberately - it is a really laughable suggestion. As is the false equivalence between cyclists and motorists. Cyclists run red lights and (if really fit, sometimes) exceed the speed limit. IT IS REALLY HAD TO KILL SOMEONE WITH A BICYCLE. The law has always recognised this, and been proportionate. Just as it is illegal to carry around a knife, but not a pencil. You can kill someone with a pencil. It is both hilarious and sad that so many people get upset by seeing a cyclist run a red light. If one runs you down on a pedestrian crossing, well fair enough. But if you see one gently and carefully pedalling through, with not a pedestrian in sight, why is this such an irritant? Why oh why do so many people get upset by cyclists - even the mere presence of them? Are we getting short of migrants?
