A reconstruction of the Zuse Z3, the first electronic computer, at the Berlin Technology museum. Like Colossus it was built using mainly telephone electrical relay switches (not much else available at that time?) but I don't remember anything, mentioned about this computer at the Bletchley Park computing museum - seems, like jet aircraft and nuclear weapons, a lot of parallel research was going on in this area before and during the second world war. The Germans seemed to be using their computers for aerodymnamic modelling, etc rather than code breaking. The original was destroyed by bombing in 1943 but this one was recreated by the son of the Z1 and Z3 designer. (The Z1 was a mechanical digital computer.) https://flic.kr/p/2jve7uB
