Suspicious motorbike on Genoa Avenue; checking out parked vehicles

2 kids on a very nice triumph style motorbike on Genoa Avenue (with no license plates) stopped to check out my neighbours motorbike, only to (I assume) realise it had a chain on it and drove off.Can't report to police and nothing technically wrong but not sitting right... especially with all the current reports about thefts on motorbikes in the area.We moved to Putney to feel safer in LDN but that's quickly changing this year.

It's illegal to have not license plates, but I agree, difficult to report.  Maybe ask the Police about CCTV?

I saw them checking out my motorbike - but didn't see the lack of numberplate.  I think it was a red Triumph speed triple they were riding, with a flat back tyre.I didn't report because "looking at my motorbike" seemed a bit much.  The lack of plate though - please phone 101 if you see them again.  Some similar youths tried to steal my motorbike earlier in the year with bolt croppers.  It'd be great for the police to be able to catch them in the act.
