Michael, Boris Johnson has tried to peddle the masquerade that his odd collection of Brexiteers is a new government. It it is still a Conservative one. They cannot shrug off the past effects of conservative policies. As the IFS points out Johnson’s government says it will increase school funding, but still not enough to catch up even to the levels of the 1980’s. Do we trust their promises? I don’t.Here’s a list of who we have to blame. I notice that Michael Gove is still in the present Cabinet. He did terrible damage to our education system over 4 years, 2 months and 4 days. I regret to say that Justine Greening is in this rogues list, and she cannot hide from the fact she oversaw further reductions in spending under the guise of a new settlement for state schools.Michael Gove. 11 May 2010 to 15 July 2014, 4 years, 2 months and 4 days, ConservativeNicky Morgan. 15 July 2014 to 14 July 2016, 1 year, 11 months and 29 days, ConservativeJustine Greening. 14 July 2016 to 8 January 2018 , 1 year, 5 months and 25 days, ConservativeDamian Hinds 8 January 2018 to 24 July 2018, 1 year, 6 months and 16 days, ConservativeGavin Williamson. 24 July 2019, Incumbent, 1 year, 1 month and 24 days Conservative
