Skywriting adverts now allowed on UK skies

I learnt about this a few minutes ago and am rather taken aback.https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/skytyping-and-skywriting-legalisation - it took place between 16 and 29 March 2020The results of the consultation can be found here https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/skytyping-and-skywriting-legalisation.  It had a total of 93 responsesSkywriting apparently became law on 8 May 2020, reversing the ban from the 1960s.  Background information can be found in:https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/21/backlash-against-plan-allow-planes-skywrite-first-time-60-years/https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/skywriting-skytyping-law-change-smoke-messages-environment-a9407916.htmlhttps://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/17/skywriting-and-skytyping-could-return-to-uk-skies I read 2 petitions online - one from change.org and the other from The Cloud Appreciation Society.  Strangely, change.org website is now down and the petition from the latter cannot be accessed by change.org.  ???????According to the petition on Change.org, "Grant Shapps, UK Secretary of State for Transport, on May 8th he made it completely legal for any brand, any political party, any individual with a few thousand pounds to burn to daub advertising slogans in huge letters across the sky over Britain. The change in law enacted by the UK Department for Transport means our skies can now be being sold as ad spaces to the highest bidders. Brands can now hijack our attention above, whenever we look up, like they already do in cities in US and Australia, where advertising using skywriting is commonplace. “It is an honour to have commissioned the first skytyping display in the UK,” boasted Grant Shapps on May 9th."https://www.change.org/p/grant-shapps-uk-secretary-of-state-for-transport-stop-skywriting-adverts-over-britain?lang=en-GBAnother petition from June 2020:https://cloudappreciationsociety.org/sign-our-skywriting-petition/
