Matt, even if he planned to go it as alleged by the police he could be not guilty. In a previous case in which he and some collaborators were fined for criminal damage in 2017 subsequently to quote [Wikipedia] "in May 2019, after a three-day trial at Southwark Crown Court, they were cleared by a jury of all charges, having argued in their defence that their actions were a proportionate response to the climate crisis." So obviously twelve just men (and, presumably, women) agreed with his argument. He does have a PhD from Kings in how to achieve social change through civil disobedience and radical movements so one assumes he's well appraised in the law and has some robust, persuasive arguments?
