Great trains! Fast and comfortable. I once took the train from Berlin to Valkenburg in Holland near Maastricht. The ICE from Berlin was fine, but then I had to change in Düsseldorf and then again in a small town near the Dutch border. Each train slower than the last and, shock horror, the one from Düsseldorf was running late. Only 2 minutes late but, really, standards are slipping even in Germany!
