Lower Richmond Road - New Riviera!

Driving down the LRR the last few Monday - Wednesday’sIt’s bought so many smiles to my face seeing tables packed outside Blades, they have new owners. Germani still helping out but the new owners have made such an effort. Tables all along Rotherwood Road, the atmosphere looks superb!Also outside Bosa the Lebanese it’s packed.I saw inside Julia Domna and whilst I worry about their lack of external seating, that was packed inside there as well.Good bless the independent restaurants of Putney they’ve deserved this. It’s a masterstroke from Rishi as well, people have experienced restaurants they might never have tried before and once you build a relationship with the owners you go back if you’ve had a good experience.

Matt, Blades has a cordoned off outside area with lots of plants, I have eaten there many times in the past and you really don't feel like you're sitting next to the road.  I suspect the plants help the air as well.

Ive never known so may moanign minnies. Traffic wow!I like seeing businesses doing well, I like seeing people out and about with smiles on their faces.Life is getting back to normal and some people dont seem to like it.If you're fit and healthy and under 40 , youve got more chance of drowning than dyeing from Covid.Live life

Agree it’s wonderful to see people social distancing and enjoying themselves the restaurants and cafes in Lower Richmond Road have tried so hard to keep their businesses going let’s support them and use this generous scheme I’ll definitely try the new Blades

I'm not eating somewhere that is 'packed' nor on a busy main road Nick The Riviera it most definitely is not. Nice try though!

Hi Gabrielle, Hudson’s is taking part. When I walked past it earlier, they had posters on their windows promoting the offer.

I completely agree! It's been a fantastic scheme to get people to try other places. Given the restaurant still gets 100% of the revenue it is a win win. I'm upset Hudson isn't taking part.Also think especially in areas like Putney this won't stop the weekend traffic as well as people like to go out on a Friday/Saturday night as well.Zaga Chichetti has signed up but is still not open :/

Sounds great but i dont like the thought of eating next to a busy main road, otherwise would be very tempted.
