Putney Vale Cemetery

Does anyone know what is happening there? They now have a huge marquee erected, and one lane is out on the A3 next to it, reopens again further down. There has been something going on there for some time, initially thought covid related but not entirely sure...

Hi. It was a temporary mortuary that apparently wasn't used. I can confirm that it looked like being dismantled this morning. (Wed 12th Aug).

I believe it was opened as a temporary/emergency mortuary should the Covid-19 losses have grown expedentially. Thankfully they did not, the Nightingale Hopsital was stood down and the mortuary never used. Provided we behave sensibly and think of others as we come out of lockdown hopefully it never will be.
