Problems posting images on the (New) Forum

I don't know what's gone wrong with it, but every time now that I try to post an image here (the most recent time being trying to post a photo of the missing Marmite for Colette King) I get an error message saying: "This has been reported to the Neighbournet support team. In the meantime try again or try later. Sorry for any inconvenience."I've tried again and again, and tried later multiple times, but still get the same error message so clearly nothing has been done. Can somebody there fix it, please!PS: I tried posting a message (this one) without a photo and still got the same message, so it's not just images the thing doesn't like. If I were paranoid I'd think it was me...

Thank you Ben for your response.  It would be helpful if a message was posted indicating they are having problems and aiming to solve them - could include an invitation for donations?  I agree, it is a very useful site indeed.

Totally understand that, by free I meant that it wasn't behind a paywall. It is interesting how many people still don't realise where their data, viewing habits etc is/can be used against them... All my devices are going through a VPN, a lot safer.

Hi, Ben. No offence taken. Interestingly, as an infosec person I've had to try and impress on people using services there's no such thing as a "free" service. You pay for it some way: with Apple, Google and Facebook we give them our data, but even those don't guarantee any service unless one's paying and if you read their T&Cs they're loaded against the customer ...

Admit it is frustrating, just looking to draw attention to the fact that this site is free and incredibly useful. No offence was meant to be given. Just drawing the plight that this site is in, in terms of resources.

Ben, if I had the slightest idea on how to solve the problem, I would say so.  Regrettably, I do not know much about creating/running/repairing websites!

@Ben. That's why I've just been pointing out one needs to cut and paste links and not made a big fuss. One suspects the server running the new interface just needs a reboot? I was hoping someone running the site would notice my comments and perhaps ask someone to look at it.

Think to remember here is that this website is free to use, it doesn’t have the budget nor functionality of Twitter, BookFace or Telegram... Love this site and what it gives out in terms of information and “debate/disagreement” to us. It’s funded by local advertising I imagine. Hyper local news sites (and I worked on one for a couple of years) are a community asset. While it’s nice to post photos, they don’t necessarily have the capacity or resources to fix things like other social portals. If you value the site, best to part of the solution rather than kicking up a fuss...

I find that the old website works but not the new one, either for photographs or it gives you an error message when trying to post a comment.  It has been going on for a few days (as Michael Ixer keeps indicating that he cannot post photographs either, perhaps for a week?).Really not good enough!
