Twitter - help please!

I wonder if anyone can help, as I have searched online and in the help pages of Twitter without success.I am trying to deactivate my Twitter account. Every time I do it, I get the message “Oops, something went wrong! Try again later”. I have switched off my ipad, including clearing history and cookies and tried again, but to no avail. Any brilliant ideas anyone?

Well Parler has the advantage that one can reconnect with old chums like Tommy Robinson and Katie Hopkins - an attraction to some. I've never deleted a Twitter account but I see it keeps data for 30 days before deleting it in case someone wants to reactivate an account. Is it possible that trying to check its deleted reactivates your your account?

It probably has something built into the software that prevents total deletion and holds onto your data forever, a bit like FB.  Join Parler instead.

Try logging in via the website rather than the app. You might have better luck. Or the other way around if you are using the web version.
