World beating drug trials

For those that knock everything done so far on covid19 congrats to our world beating scientists re the latest drug trials.

This is obviously very good news, perhaps tempered by the fact that some of the government funding came from DfID which the PM has just abolished.  “Giant cash point in the Sky” is quite the daftest remark I have heard in a long time.  Utterly misleading but only three former PMs have condemned the move so it can’t be that bad.

I believe the vaccine trials have just entered the second phase so they appear to be progressing well. I think there are around 3000 people who have volunteered to take part, some have been given the virus code and others just a placebo.

Yes, it's good news. Perhaps Oxford or (and?) Imperial can follow it with more good news about their vaccine trials soon?

Yes it's fantastic news but there won't be any support on here because the research teams are being funded by Boris & Co.
