Reopening of Hairdressers 

Government guidelines suggest a possible reopening July 4th.Checked on Rush and Toni & Guy website and still no new update.Sadly when reopening takes place, staff numbers will be reduced in some of these shops if businesses can only operate at 50% due to continued social distancing.Same as many other businesses, pubs, restaurants etc.   https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-52809673

Me too Gabrielle.  There was a way of registering on the website as a priority customer but I had to choose 3 branches in order of preference, and there was no way to specify which stylist I wanted. That was no good for me because I want to be 'done' by my usual hairdresser who knows my hair and doesn't nag my ears off when she's doing my foils

Looks like Headmaster will honour appts which fell during lockdown before 'new bookings'. Seems I'll just have to get on the phone/website on the 27th June and get first available slot.My highlights will be more like balayage at this rate!

No need to apologise, Jane. I'm sure I use that term without thinking ... Must admit I won't worry too much about barbers opening. My hair's getting so thin the more I can grow the better!

Yes I heard that and have made an appointment for 4July at Ellie's in the URR. Was told that there could only be two stylists, each with one client at a time and stylists would be wearing masks etc,However I have to say that I am a bit disappointed about the Change of Direction' that the poster said was needed. I can now almost grow a pony tail (not that I want to).  I am hearing that 2nd July is the date they will reopen.

I'm not seeing anything on the government website.Is there a link?I suspect until something is anounced officially businesses can not update their announcements.

I use Headmasters in Wimbledon Village and the website says bookings will commence again from 27th June. I missed my last appointment because it was pre-booked and coincided with the day that lockdown began. Aaarrrgghhh! Hair far too long and a completely massacred fringe.
