Alok Sharma - will “Test and Trace” regulations apply

Sorry to hear the Business Secretary had to go home from parliament feeling unwell. Does he have Coronavirus? He was described as wiping his forehead, so was maybe running a temperature. How many of his parliamentary colleagues will now need to go into isolation? Will the rules apply? Nick

Conveniently?? With the likelihood that someone would dob him in if that was not true  do you really think he or the govt would risk mis reporting it. Even for Putney I'd suggest that's some conspiracy theory.

He's conveniently tested negative. Probably taken ill when he suddenly realised that he's part of a government so inept that it's killed a larger percentage of its population than comparable developed countries.

In theory, if everyone's been keeping two metres apart, will they actually have any 'contacts' to report for 'Trick or Treat' tracing? If questioned, must we admit that we've broken the rules?  Who would want to drop someone else in it by naming them, or who would confirm the contact, if it means they have to immediately lock down for 14 days? Who'll believe a phone call or email out of the blue from an untrained Serco call centre operative? Mr Sharma's experience will be an interesting test case.

I think when symptoms show themselves you’ve been infectious for some days ...To comment on Andy Pikes list of questions, I would add that this illustrates how stupid Jacob Rees Mogg’s withdrawal of online voting actually is. “I hope Alok Sharma makes a full and swift recovery. You can see a video of him making his statement in the house of commons, links are in the online papers etc.He looked very unwell. I hope he makes a speedy and full recovery.There is of course a possibility that the symptoms came on suddenly, lets hope that is the case rather than staff and members of parliament not being alert.

It's 15 minutes or more if < 2 metres. So while some may be near it is hardly likely that the vast majority will have to isolate.
