The first in a series of the many summer events we can't go to this year but can look forward to again in the future. Thanks, Bunny. Must admit I never got around to going when I was younger, then around ten years ago a colleague/friend, who went regularly with his wife and a group of friends, persuaded me into going. (Actually, he was nagging me for several years and I finally got it together in 2011.) He was right, I did enjoy it. Would have gone the following year but couldn't get tickets - a pity as it was when the Stones were playing. After that other things in life have got in the way. Security is really tight now; possibly better than some data centres I've done due diligence on!

Lovely pics Michael, brings back many memories.  This old gal was involved a lot in the early 80s when it was still the Glastonbury CND Festival.  Much more laid back, the whole thing was set up by Michael Nevis and many hippy friends and volunteers who were mostly too stoned to get anything together.No security then, one year I was on ticket duty, which involved sitting on a 5-bar gate and stamping the hands of everyone who came past, I think they had to have a ticket.  It was very jolly and fun and easygoing...oh happy days!!  Yet we had some amazing bands .. and the Bishop of Bath and Wells came on the stage to talk about love and fellowship, of course we were all anti-nuke xxx
