Incredible - but for the wrong reasons

The Trump Organization is seeking UK and Irish government bailouts to pay workers at its European golf courses during the coronavirus lockdown

I 100% agree Michael, with the gov. assisting companies to the tune of billions, an equity share is imho a perfectly reasonable request, equity shares in many of our big companies, along with our RBS holding would be a great start for a sovereign wealth fund.

I've recently read that if any of these companies have some financial structuring in tax havens (which most large corporates do) …. then NO bailout from the UK.

I'm not really in favour of these bailouts without some quid pro quo where it's a large company - perhaps a share in equity? Sadly, if there's no sort of bailout the employees in the UK and Ireland will just be laid off like the US ones.
