Yes, the new "normal" when all this settles down (9 → 12 → 18 → 24 months?) will be different. People will have assessed priorities and wheat really mattered, got used to extra times and less stress from joint commuting (or perhaps more stress from couped up with family 24*7? ☺), familiared themselves with the etiquette and foibles of technology like Zoom, drones may be delivering groceries to rural areas - and even hard core free marketeers may see (and accept) the benefits of socialist handouts!¡! Not to forget the benefits of less pollution, fewer motor accidents, healthy exercise.Ruth, please don't be put off. Some of us on the forum do have strong views. It's wrong that some are rude or discourteous; ignore them. Normally if people result to insults it's because they don't have a coherent, logical argument; they've lost by reducing themselves to that level. Perhaps in the current lockdown people are also frustrated and losing patience so we need to make allowances?
