Post COVID19 what would you like to keep?

I hope some good things will come of this situation. When the recovery and healing starts anything from your lockdown experience that you would you like to keep?

Do Hammers and Chelsea boys go together?  Something would have to give!  In my home town a mixed marriage is described as one where a United fan marries a City fan.  It can work apparently but the kids all have to choose too ...

Allen I asked my husband about this - his family were looking into their roots and apparently his father phoned Colin Pates to find out if he was related - apparently not. I have no idea if this is true!

"the freedom to walk down the middle of a residential street"As a cyclist, I'd say that that is not totally free. It certainly depends on one of us paying attention, and not gazing around at the trees and the flowers and the sunlight.

A few things:A clear sky without aeroplane contrails; the return of elements of wildlife to deserted places; but perhaps above all the politeness and friendliness of strangers so much evident and the rediscovery of what really matters: people and how we react to each other.Have a wonderful day.

I live alone, but we have a WhatsApp group for the extended family and it's been lovely how much we've communicated, sometimes in quite surprising ways.Being in touch with friends and knowing how much we all care about each other.The quiet.... and the friendly smiles I get and give to strangers when I have a lone walk on the common, 6ft apart of course.

...and MOST importantly of all. That drinking wine at 10am is socially acceptable :)

I think Simon's nailed it: "The realisation that we as a species can't have what we want when we want."Craig is definitely there with value of so called low skilled jobs needing to be reassessed. Although why anyone would ever consider any NHS jobs low skilled I'm not sure.Finally, looking at the way things are going there's no way any US companies should be let anywhere near the NHS. The German model looks like it may prove to be the most efficient? Still, I can't see the US being in a position for trade negotiations for 18 months? Be nice if the skies stayed clear and the roads remained empty but I'm not sure the world's ready for that yet. Perhaps we do need Corbyn's vision of extremely fast broadband for all 🙂

Three things:1. That we continue to value the work of so-called ‘low skill’ jobs.  Our delivery drivers and supermarket staff etc. have proved how valuable they are2. That everyone continues to get some fresh air and exercise every day3. That we continue to be kinder, more polite and more community-spirited ...with the obvious exception of this forum, where the usual ranting and nastiness seems to continue unabated 😂

The roads so empty. The orderly queues in supermarkets. The realisation that we as a species can't have what we want when we want.

The peace and quiet!  The sound of birdsong.  Seeing more people out and about walking. And speaking to complete strangers and getting a reply. A vague feeling that we are indeed all in this together and that we can find things in common despite the divisive political times we have been through. I am looking forward to the return of football, though, as well as cricket, rugby and all the rest of it.  And I quite fancy a trip into the countryside again.
