Getting help with collecting food - advice

Apologies if this question has already been asked in another thread. My wife and I are in our 70’s and although reasonably healthy both have underlying health problems: I am a Type 1 Diabetic and Alison has a history of asthma.Normally we go about our lives as normal, shopping for groceries (and booze), travelling around London, seeing family and friends across the city. But now we are being told we are “high risk” because of age and those health issues. We’ve done a certain amount if stocking up on groceries, but we don’t have a great deal of cupboard space in our small (but lovely, of course) house in Commondale. So I thought I’d abandon my usual trip to the supermarket and register for online deliveries. I must have left it too late as Waitrose, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons all say they have “No slots available”, either for deliveries or “click and collect”.So, what to do? I could don my mask and gloves and go to a supermarket. Should I?I thought I could register as a high-risk person. But no, my health is not high-risk enough. So that’s not helpful. Most of my neighbours and friends are not young (sorry everyone), so I do not feel able to recruit them. I’m hoping the supermarkets will sort out ways of slicing their delivery slots by need. There are rumours, but no action yet. Should I wait.I am not yet humming “High Anxiety” and therefore will have to ask my wife to compose a tune (she’s a composer) along the lines of “Medium Concern”. Not so catchy.Any suggestions welcome. Cheers,Nick
