Battersea Dogs home
As some on this forum know, I lost my elderly beloved dog last year.. After a few months I was prepared to let another dog into my life who was older and in need of TLC. Having filled in registration form with BDH, which at times I found to be very intrusive and personal I had a 2 hour interview at BDH.. They knew precisely where I lived as had photos of garden and Putney Common. I have queried 3 dogs which ticked my boxes. Each was refused.. 1) because I was single, 2) my garden was too inner city 3) the dog in question needed another dog to give it stability!.Whilst I truly appreciate that certain criteria has to be followed it has become ridiculous. Also, multiple visits have to be made in order to 'bond'with the dog. Too many hurdles. I remain dogless and very sad
