Sir Edward Listed accused of conflict of interest

Always good to see Sir Edward Lister in the spotlight. See https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8059273/Boris-Johnsons-chief-adviser-accused-conflict-interest.html and also a report in the Times behind a firewall on the same subject.Sir Edward was of course responsible for the scheme to build flats and an Academy school at Putney Hospital and a road on Putney Common. He is now a Chief Adviser to PM Boris Johnson.Nick(I posted this earlier on the ‘Legal challenge to Charity Commission’ thread, but I thought it deserved a separate posting)

Every conservative councillor since 1980 has been involved in the sale of council housing across the country. Edward Lister did not invent it indeed it was Horace Cutler at the GLC who started it then Mrs T introduced the right to buy, incidentally that neither Blair or Brown cancelled. there were 2 leaders at wbc before lister. Messrs Chope and Beresford.

Was he not involved with the sale of Wandsworth Council housing?  He always was a very strong Thatcherite, I believe.  Some leopards never lose their spots!
