Vet in Putney

Our local vet- which has recently been taken over, has charged £480 to extract one tooth!This is madness- anyone recommend a reasonablecharging vet in our area please?

Stone lion charged me for antibiotics they didn't have but said I could pick them up at goddards, putney.  Goddards said it didn't work that way.I could have tried to argue to get my £35 back but gave up.  Medivet are excellent

Stone Lion is in Wimbledon Village, not too far from Putney and our Zelda seems calm enough with the vets there. I decided on them because the 93 bus stops very close by if I don't want to use the car.

@Carole. My post was made 878 days ago! We stopped using VoWHL when Felicity's (and Alf's and Jim's) previous vet left after the Medivet takeover and decided she'd prefer a home visit from Ctvets. No idea why this old thread has been resurrected. Obviously things change with time.

Hallo, MichaelWe used Vets in White Hart Lane for years and years, but not now!  Receptionist was rude, 3 appointments were cancelled and then finally re-scheduled.  Shame but never again!  Now go to Medivet at Chalkers Corner.  Caring, profession and not too expensive.  Total dental (not local but full full anesthetic) and blood test was £350.00

£220 sounds better than £480. So are you recommending them ?I'd prefer not to have to go all the way to Wimbledon...

I haven't got the actual quote to hand but Goddards in LLR quoted about £220 for a full dental overhaul and about £320 if any extractions were required.Stoke Lion is excellent I agree. It's part of the Goddard group and if your animals need specialist treatment which the branch can't perform, they'll send the pet to Stone Lion.

We also used Stone Lion in Wimbledon - the vet our dog chose then!!  He was not afraid to go there, but other vets tail went in and he was petrified!I would strongly recommend Stone Lion.

We use Vets on White Hart Lane, Barnes. Felicity will give an endorsement 🙂

Which vet are you referring to? That does sound like madness!My daughter takes her cat to Wimbledon Village - Stone Lion it is called and she is very happy with the vets there. When she was  unhappy with one particular vet she asked to be referred to another one.
