J Rogers & Sons (in the exchange) - avoid for anything to do with watches
Took my beloved Sekonda watch to them to change battery. They were unable to get the back on again, so they said they'd keep it overnight - went the following day - said they got the back on but watch didn't work. At that point they handed it back, but another customer pointed out, what's that on the ground? It was the back of the watch fallen off! They said they weren't sure what was going on, would send it off somewhere and would call when it came back in. A week later, no call - I went down - it was there, the owner (I believe) handed it back to me, told me it wouldn't work - that it was obviously broken - I said no, it wasn't, it had only needed a new battery - HE SHOUTED AT ME AND TOLD ME TO PROVE IT THAT IT WASN'T BROKEN WHEN I TOOK IT IN - HE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE, and as soon as I got it home, THE BACK FELL OFF AGAIN! It is completely destroyed - I don't know WHAT they did - and it's not even that they broke it, it's that the owner (Steve I think) - WAS SO HORRIBLE AND RUDE! HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN APOLOGETIC, but who shouts at a customer after THEY"VE broken the watch, and never even called to say it was waiting! DISGRACEFUL!
