YOGA in Putney

There are several Yoga centres in Putney - I would be grateful if people could share their experiences as I'm not sure which one to go for.I am looking for a class for beginners which includes a fair proportion of ladies who are not in the first flush of youth, as I would not feel comfortable amongst a bunch of very fit people in their thirties...... ;-)

Yes and I'll second that.  Sadly not been going for a while, but I have done their Stage 1 and Stage 2 there and it was good and also a lovely experience ... very spiritual, highly recommended.Only reason for not going lately is life and laziness!!

Hi Barbara,I would recommend the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre on Felsham Road-- its great!  I have been going there for the last 8 years...

My mate went to a yoga class in Fulham once.  The class was packed and there were two women to each mat.  Her "partner" smacked her in the face twice by accident.  Mate was so stressed she went straight to a pub for a glass of Chardonnay and a bag of nuts afterwards.  Do you really think it helps?  I could sure as frogs do with some stress relief in life.

I wholeheartedly second the Putney Yengar Centre. Plenty of us who might be thought a little past our prime!
